25 years of the Fendi Baguette called for a big celebration. Taking place in New York City, with fashion’s brightest shining stars on the guest list and the Baguette in full focus, this surely was an evening for the fashion books. Kim Jones and Marc Jacobs joined forces to create an exclusive collection, where the classic Fendi staples were reimagined by Jacobs. Shiny and spectacular with sequin and metallic detailing, the whole show was a party with the Baguette as the guest of honour. 

The Baguette first launched in 1997, and rose to mainstream popularity after being featured in an episode of the TV Show “Sex and The City”. Carrie Bradshaw made it clear to the world that “It’s not a bag, it’s a Baguette!”, ushering it to new heights and earning the bag its title as one of the most iconic fashion items of the 90s.

But the Baguette has not remained a piece of the past - it has transcended time and is still considered a must-have piece for every fashionista. Recently it has been seen on the arm of countless celebrities such as Gigi Hadid, Rihanna, Olivia Palermo, Amanda Seyfried and Zendaya.

Since its launch, the bag has seen more than 700 versions, proving its adaptability to changing times and trends. Most recently, the bag was re-created in a collaboration with Tiffany and Co. which was fully designed in the iconic Tiffany blue hue.

The Baguette is characterised by its distinct shape, detachable top handle, cross-body detachable shoulder strap and the FF logo metal fastening. It is available in materials ranging from different leathers, multicolour fabrics, denim, canvas and multicolour embroidery.
